After launching last week in the elegant Harlem’s Fashion Row edition, the Nike LeBron 16 is ready to be unleashed once again in a familiar color concept that should have sneakerheads and LeBron fans in a frenzy. The “What The” styling typically refers to colorways of the past, but for the newest model, Nike Basketball is looking to the future as this release acts as a mosaic of the first five colorways of the shoe. “Fresh Bred” (the black/red), King, “SFG”, “20-20”, and “I Promise” all play a role in the composition of this audacious colorway, all while emphasizing the notion of LeBron James playing all five positions on the court.
The Nike LeBron 16 What The is officially nicknamed “1 Thru 5,” and the sneaker features a mashup of colors. The left shoe’s BattleKnit upper is covered in multicolor with a white leather heel featuring the signature LJ crown logo and the word sixteen. For the right shoe, its upper is covered in an oreo-like theme with a black heel that features a debossed lion head with gold eyes and Swoosh branding. The tongues for both also sport different themes, followed by mismatching graphic insoles, speckling on the midsole and more multicolor on the outsole top it all off.
Ahead of its official debut, the Swoosh is already set to release a Nike LeBron 16 What The colorway. The “What The” theme goes back to 2007, when Nike Skateboarding introduced a mash-up concept on the SB Dunk Low that created the staple design for Nike Basketball.Next up, the Nike LeBron 16. The shoe features a Multicolor BattleKnit upper with one heel done in White and the other in Black. James’ signature “LJ” crown logo appears on the left shoe with “Sixteen” underneath, while the right sports the models signature debossed lion head with Golden eyes and Swoosh logo. Other details includes an exotic print on the right tongue and the other in a Deep Red tone. Mismatched insoles, multicolored rubber and icy outsoles completes the design.
